Protocols for Aura Experiments

  • Mixing dye solution
    • Solvents
      • References to 'laboratory alcohol'-- most likely mixture of methyl, ethyl, isopropyl alcohol (Kilner)
        • possibly anhydrous denatured alcohol
    • Sufficient dye material should be mixed into an alcohol solution to create a strongly tinted solution. The aura screen / cell should be filled so that air is excluded, as extra oxygen promotes breakdown of the dye. When a recommend mixing ratio is determined, it should be noted, as the dye materials are costly.
  • Use of the aura screen
    • The aura screen is used in two fashions — to sensitize the eye, and to view the aura directly.
    • Sensitizing the eye
      • The eye (vision) can be sensitized by looking through a dark solution of the auric dye such that no other light reaches the eye except by passing through the dye.
      • One should look at a bright sky for several minutes--
        • the key appears to be that ultraviolet (UV-A?) be present in the incident light.
        • Artificial light is not suitable.
      • Once the eye is sensitized, a faint glow or line will be seen to emanate from objects, trees, and especially animals and humans.
      • Repeated sensitization is cumulative.
      • Sensitization of both eyes at once is advised.
    • A less dense solution of the dyestuff can be prepared to view the aura directly. In that case, the person / animal which is to be sensed is viewed directly through the screen, rather than using the screen to sensitize the eye, and then using the eye to view the aura.
      • Both kinds of screen and method can be used in conjunction.
        • Sensitize the eye with a dense dye solution
        • View the aura with sensitized eyes through a more transparent / lighter dye solution.
  • Viewing the aura
    • Once the eye is sensitized, aura viewing is possible.
    • Low light conditions are essential. The shades should be drawn, or the illumination otherwise controlled.
    • In addition, it is helpful to have both a light and a dark background available so that subjects can be positioned in front of them for viewing.
